Football fans the world over are preparing for the most exciting tournament of the year. The world cup which will kick off tomorrow. To be honest as soon as David Beckham broke his achilles heel I completely lost interest. I don't mean to insult the England team because i'm sure their 'skills' and their talent for 'tackling' and what have you will be quite interesting to watch but where is the EYE CANDY?
NOT in the England football team thats for sure. However this post is going off target, the real reason for this post is the new England world cup song. It's one of my favorite parts about the world cup, the tacky songs! This year Dizzee Rascal and that fat bloke (James Cordon) have teamed together and:

So Thursday marks the start of the FIFA World Cup, and football fever is starting to heat up. Not that we care whether England score any goals or lose on penalties... again. Our eyes were firmly fixed on the new Louis Vuitton World Cup trophy case. and it seems like that's not the only fashion infusion the 2010 World Cup will see.
On June 10, international hip shaker Shakira will perform her new single - the official song of the 2010 tournament, "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)", dressed in a Roberto Cavalli custom designed outfit with a tribal theme. The Columbian singer will perform in a second-skin zebra-print jumpsuit with side cutouts and a fringed skirt made out of numerous pieces of animal-print silk that mimics a grass skirt

RIP Stuart Cable
It was a sad day yesterday, when the media confirmed that ex-Stereophonics drummer, Stuart Cable, had passed away. Cable had been one of the founding members of the Welsh band, who had hits with Bartender and the Thief, Dakota, and Pick a Part That's New.
After leaving Stereophonics in 2003, Cable found work as a media personality, hosting his own radio show on BBC Radio Wales. The band's front man Kelly Jones has paid tribute to the former drummer explaining the pair had patched up their differences a long time ago and were due to meet up soon.
Fellow Welshmen Manic Street Preachers are among those to pay tribute to Stuart Cable today, declaring their friend was a "gigantic personality".

Major Lazer + La Roux = Lazerproof.
Major Lazer (a partnership of Dj's Diplo and Switch) combined forces with La Roux to give us the mixtape 'Lazerproof', a perfect soundtrack for your summer. With the heavy dancehall inspired basslines and scorching British weather (ha) you'll be forgiven for thinking you'd stepped into Kingston Jamaica. If only for a brief delusional moment. Major Lazer is actually a fictional cartoon character who apparently fights vampires and monsters and also parties hard. I'm assuming not simultaneously. The mixtape is the best four letter word ever: FREE. So go and download, you won't regret it.

Graduate Fashion Week
Kelis has been revealed as the new face of River Islands 2010 Graduate Fashion Week campaign. On the run up to Graduate Fashion Week River Island has released a collection produced by designers from previous Graduate Fashion Weeks who now work with River Island. With Kelis’s funky style and love of new designers they could not have a picked a better person AND she looks great in the clothes. Fronting the menswear graduate campaign is Ashley Banjo from the dance group Diversity. Although he is not one to be known for his immense sense of style he can go on his tippy toes a la Michael Jackson, this must count for something. Graduate Fashion Week kicks off on June 6th at Earls court and finishes on the 9th of June.
The collection is out now in selected stores and via the River Island website.
